What I liked best about editing Chatelaine was seeing what our readers had to say about the issue we?d all worked so hard to create. Love it or loathe it, I just had to know right away. I saved my favourite letters in a manila file folder.
They weren?t necessarily the most complimentary. In fact, some of them asked challenging questions, just as a good friend might do when she thinks I?ve forgotten something important. What all my favourite letters shared was honesty and open-heartedness. They established a sense of connection with women (and some men) whom I will never meet face to face.
I still treasure that manila file folder. When I?m tired of listening to pundits and politicians, I open the folder and listen to the wisdom of ordinary people.
This page is my virtual equivalent of the manila folder. I still want to know what you think?and to save your most colourful, interesting or just plain unforgettable thoughts in a special place where other people can enjoy them, too.
